Lord, help me not to judge another hurting soul until I have walked for two weeks on the raging waters which they walk. - Louise Wirick

Suicide Survivors Resource Book

Do you feel a pain that runs so deep it feels fatal? This book reaches into the heart of a suicide survivor, takes them by  the hand, and walks them through the stages of healing. As a survivor-mom, Louise touches on those  things that you are afraid to tell anyone for fear they will think you "lost it." She also helps with  graphic issues, PTSD, guilt, blame, God and anger. This book is a very easy read that all survivors should have!

If you are struggling to understand someone that has lost a loved one to suicide, this book will help you step into their shoes and get a glimpse of being a survivor. Please read it, for their sake!

It's also highly recommended for those that are suicidal. They  usually have no idea what suicide does to a family. Learning this truth often helps them seek help and turn their lives around.

If you are a survivor of suicide feeling desperate, please know that we care. Each of us vividly remember when we were at that place of pain so intense it felt fatal. Many of us can also remember days that we wished it would be.

I want to encourage you that it won't always be that way. We are here to help you walk this road to reclaiming your life again. There are many ways we can help:

We offer online support groups -Survivors SUPPORT Groups
We have names of survivors you can contact: Suicide Survivor HELP

We have moderated online private chatrooms. Email us and we will give you instructions on where to meet us. EMAIL

Although there are now many organizations striving to make a difference with Suicide Prevention, there still isn't enough to help a grieving, struggling survivor. SR2H is here for the sole purpose of helping Survivors heal and reclaim their lives. We work within the community with many organizations and have plans to have offices nationwide in the next few years.

Survivors will be able to walk in and get free counseling and peer support, as well as online help in our private chatrooms and support groups. Please take a minute and seriously consider a donation to help make this happen. No one knows the need for this like us survivors!!  We are 501(c)3, so your donation is tax-deductible and deeply appreciated. Thank you!!

I’m so glad you found Survivors Road2healing. I’m Louise, the founder. I’m also a survivor-mom. It’s my deepest desire to help you, my fellow survivor, to find hope, learn ways to heal, and to make it to the other side of this debilitating pain. You can read my story by clicking the Suicide Survivor-Mom Story.

If you’re a suicide survivor, I have a heart-to-heart for you if you click the Survivor of Suicide Tips link. If you’re someone hoping to help a survivor, please click the Survivors Friend link. I would also suggest you read What Makes a Death By Suicide So Different and my book. Both will help you understand better.

We have a lot of great information for those that are helping children on the Children Survivors link, and there are a number of PDF files you can print out that will help all survivors at the Printouts link.  You can also find information about support group meetings at the Meetings link.

If you have questions about God and suicide, like where was God or did my loved one go to hell… please click the God link. If you’re feeling desperate you can connect with other survivors and find help at the Help For Survivors link. We also have memorials, book referrals, poetry, information on BiPolar, ADD and a number of other topics related to suicide. And don’t forget about my new Blog and Podcast. Then go to the side of the page and take a minute to subscribe the Survivors of Suicide Newsletter that will be emailed to you bi-monthly with a lot of good information. My book is now in print and I’ve been overwhelmed with the wonderful response I’ve received. My heart is to provide help for you in any way I can. I’ll never forget that pain of being a new survivor! If you have graphic issues because you found them, please go read the sample page of my book. I used that excerpt just so I could help you a little bit with this horrendous aftermath of your loss.

And finally, please hold to the hope that healing can and will come with a good support system. It may seem impossible to you right now, but one day you’ll even laugh again. I pray you find healing here and come back often to check our Blog and Podcasts.

By the way, be sure to read the Responsibility poem on the Printouts page. It will help a lot if you struggle with guilt. The pain of being left behind is not something we get over. It’s something we must learn how to get through. I’m Louise, reminding you – be kind to you!

They have stepped over the threshold of heaven ...

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see
the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
